What is GuineaPHARM?
GuineaPHARM is a freeware utility to help you manage your personal pharmacopeia. As you go through medical training, you start to develop a mental list of your favorite medications that you prescribe for your patients. GuineaPHARM will assist you in building that list! With GuineaPHARM, you can classify your medications, rank them based on how important you consider them to be, and store important information about the medication so that this information is quickly available to you when you need it.
How do I install GuineaPHARM?
Easy. Download GuineaPHARM from OUR SOFTWARE page and simply unzip it. Then choose whether you want to unzip the color or black and white version, then unzip those files. Then, install the single prc file onto your Palm, and you are ready to go.
Can you explain the concept of "ranking" the medications in GuineaPHARM?
Sure. The rank field allows you to enter a number (say, 1 to 5) indicating how important you consider a medication to be. A medication with a rank of 1 will appear at the top of the screen at the GuineaPHARM main menu. The sole purpose of this ranking system is so that your favorite drugs appear first and least favorite drugs appear last.
I downloaded GuineaPHARM, but there aren't any drugs in the database. Why?
GuineaPHARM is not a pre-compiled listing of medications. Rather, it is a database that you design containing ONLY the information YOU consider important about a medication. For example, let's say you forgot the dosage of morphine, your favorite analgesic to prescribe for hospitalized patients in severe pain. If you were to look this information up in other drug databases, it would be time consuming as you wait for the program to load, write the name of the drug in graffitti, and search for the dosage portion of the database. If you had entered this information in GuineaPHARM, however, you'd have the common information you need available to you much more quickly!
Is there a way to disable the advertisement that appears when GuineaPHARM starts up?
Yes. Versions of GuineaPHARM that are downloaded from other websites contain an advertisement screen when the program starts up. However, versions of GuineaPHARM downloaded directly from our webpage (www.GuineaSOFT.net) do not contain this advertisement.
Can I run Palm Hacks while using GuineaPHARM?
You can try. But if GuineaPHARM begins acting odd, turn your hacks off and try again (this applies to any and all software, not just the GuineaSOFT line of products).
Is GuineaPHARM really free?
Absolutely! GuineaPHARM is completely free. There is no registration process for this program.
