GuineaMEDSCHOOL FAQ

What is GuineaMEDSCHOOL?

GuineaMEDSCHOOL is a utility to help pre-medical students research the prospective medical schools they plan to apply to.  What schools you apply to should be well thought out and the schools should be thoroughly researched before the applications are mailed.  GuineaMEDSCHOOL enables you to use your Palm to keep track of important data about different medical schools as you research them.  Such data includes: admission statistics, tuition, personal contacts within the school, pros/cons about the program, and much more.

How do I install GuineaMEDSCHOOL?

Easy.  Download GuineaMEDSCHOOL from OUR SOFTWARE page and simply unzip it.  Then, install the single prc file onto your Palm, and you are ready to go.

Can you explain the concept of "ranking" the schools  in GuineaMEDSCHOOL?

Sure.  The rank field allows you to enter a number (say, 1 to 5) indicating what your top choice medical school is.  A school with a rank of 1 will appear at the top of the screen at the GuineaMEDSCHOOL main menu.  The sole purpose of this ranking system is so that most favored schools appear first and least favored schools appear last.

I downloaded GuineaMEDSCHOOL, but the database is empty.  There are no schools available to view.  Why?

GuineaMEDSCHOOL is not a pre-compiled database of medical school information.  Instead, it is a database for you to design yourself as you research a school's statistics and admission criteria.

Can I run Palm Hacks while using GuineaMEDSCHOOL?

You can try.  But if GuineaMEDSCHOOL begins acting odd, turn your hacks off and try again (this applies to any and all software, not just the GuineaSOFT line of products).

How do I register?

Simple.  Visit our REGISTRATION page for more information.
